We'd sit and talk and try to stop our children from dashing into the water. Some judicious swan feeding was usually a distraction.

Thanks for bringing back a memory that made me smile.

JanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3430310340733122486.post-40581918239686096142010-05-21T07:15:30.945+01:002010-05-21T07:15:30.945+01:00Molly: Yes, I agree. Physically it's not quite so easy!Relatively Retiringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648407316162715318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3430310340733122486.post-71165399004252282712010-05-20T22:34:52.455+01:002010-05-20T22:34:52.455+01:00I think to live and fully enjoy the experiences li...I think to live and fully enjoy the experiences life has to offer we have to go out on a limb, regularly! It may not feel comfortable, but if you don't venture into untested waters you never meet all those interesting people, some of whom are friends waiting to be found! Some of my best friends are people I never would have met if I didn't put myself in situations I'd have been much more comfortable avoiding!

Smart pigeons!mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03797484583400519909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3430310340733122486.post-72761126781153289682010-05-19T08:39:20.494+01:002010-05-19T08:39:20.494+01:00Zhoen: Yes, life requires non-stop working at it!Zhoen: Yes, life requires non-stop working at it!Relatively Retiringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648407316162715318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3430310340733122486.post-19319749221688587452010-05-19T00:13:15.879+01:002010-05-19T00:13:15.879+01:00Holes in our lives. I was going to say that I was the one with the camera, but I saw at least three others on that stretch of the river in the morning sun.

Leslee: Yes, the relationship break-up usually breaks more than the two people directly involved - a sadness of modern times. But then the blogging community brings new friends.Relatively Retiringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648407316162715318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3430310340733122486.post-25464485424025875952010-05-18T17:24:56.684+01:002010-05-18T17:24:56.684+01:00I love it! I tend to get very attached, so it's not always easy to deal with the losses. But I'm fortunate to have some old friends who have been there, more or less, over the years - like family, even though we may rarely see each other, there's that sense of connection that can be picked up again at any time. Many others, though, have come and gone with the transitions - a breakup of a relationship usually takes away a whole social circle, coworkers move on and disappear, and so forth. Anyway, good luck finding your own birds of a feather!lesleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09127872882510411387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3430310340733122486.post-76890054013973369342010-05-18T15:09:39.790+01:002010-05-18T15:09:39.790+01:00I saw those pigeons this morning too - I wonder if...I saw those pigeons this morning too - I wonder if I saw you?
